New Assistant Manager

Marc Laird – Player/Assistant Manager

Marc Laird has been appointed as Gary Jardine’s right hand man for managerial duties. He will however continue as The Strollers midfield maestro for the foreseeable future.

Gary said :-

“With Pents stepping down, I’m delighted that Marc has agreed to step into the role as player/asst manager.

Having played at the top level in England for 15 years and then part time in Scotland as he changed his career, Marc has a wealth of experience and is widely respected, not only within our club but outside as well.

He’s the perfect role model to have at our club and will prove to be a great appointment, I’m sure!”

We wish Marc every success in his new role!

Strollers Clinch 7th Place

Pic – Matty Shaw celebrates putting us 1 up against Linlithgow – (Vinephoto)

The 2023/24 season is over and what a finale it was. We finished with a 2:1 win over Linlithgow Rose to leap frog them and finish in 7th place. A great achievement considering the resources of many of the teams in the league.

Due to the unprecedented rain and the cancellation of 2 games, we were asked to play 4 games in 8 days. 3 of these at Christie Gillies Park. This put the team and the pitch under a great strain.

However, Gary Jardine managed the team superbly and the lads buckled down and went on a fantastic run and won all of the games. The Committee also pulled together to ensure the pitch and hospitality were of the usual high standard. Our pitch even receiving a referee rating of 5/5!

The Clubs motto of”Together We Can Do It” could not be more appropriate!

To our supporters we hope you have enjoyed the season and look forward to seeing you again. To all our other visitors we hope you also enjoyed your time with us. If you haven’t visted yet then put us on your list for next season!

All the best
